  • Data Facilities behaalt ISO 27001 certificering

    In Amerika wordt weleens gezegd: ‘You can’t shout “fire” in a crowded theatre.’ Iedereen houdt van een grapje op zijn tijd, maar er zijn situaties of onderwerpen waarover je geen grappen maakt. Bij Data Facilities geldt dat voor veiligheid. Dit onderwerp neemt het bedrijf bloedserieus.

    Recent maakte Data Facilities bekend dat zijn datacenters in Spijkenisse en Den Haag het ISO 27001 Certificaat toegekend hebben gekregen (uitgifte datum 15 september 2016). De 27000-standaarden zijn in het leven geroepen door de International Organization for Standardization in Genève (Zwitserland). Deze wereldwijd geaccepteerde standaarden bestaan uit kaders, richtlijnen en ‘best practices’ voor informatiebeveiliging. Naast 27001 beschikt Data Facilities ook over het ISO 9001 certificaat voor kwaliteit, risicomanagement en bedrijfscontinuiteit.

    Strikte regels
    Data Facilities begon het applicatieproces in november vorig jaar. “Wij wilden onze klanten ervan verzekeren dat veiligheid bij ons de nummer één prioriteit is en dat wij strikte regels hanteren om de vertrouwelijkheid en veiligheid van bedrijfscritische gegevens te waarborgen,” aldus Savvas Bout, CEO van Data Facilities.

    Deze ‘stempel van goedkeuring’ krijgt een organisatie niet zomaar. Data Facilities heeft de achterliggende maanden moeten aantonen dat dat het niet alleen alle standaardprotocollen volgt, maar ook dat het ISMS (information security management system) integreert in zijn bedrijfsvoering. ISMS heeft betrekking op onder meer de organisatiestructuur, het beleid, onze processen en procedures.
